Quebec First Nations leaders call on Pope to visit sites of former residential schools during trip

Some First Nations leaders in Quebec say they’re disappointed with Pope Francis’ planned visit to the province’s capital, saying their repeated calls for the pontiff to visit at least one former residential school site appear to have gone unheard.
